The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire kicked off its season of fall festivities last weekend with the popular event, Oktoberfest.
If the attendance of Oktoberfest, which was held on Saturday, Sept. 27, was any indication as to what to expect with upcoming events, the faire can be looking forward to a busy season.
“While we did not reach our daily capacity set for this season, Saturday was the first time we came close to doing so,” Candace Smith, director of sales and communications, said. “This coming weekend’s Celtic Weekend Saturday has sold out in advance and we expect this upward trend in attendance to continue until closing on Nov. 1, provided as the weather is nice.”
The Renaissance Faire has been a favorite local weekend spot for students in the past, and while it’s not offering student discounts at the moment because of a ticket purchasing change due to COVID-19, the faire hopes to resume in-person ticket purchasing and continue offering discounts to students as soon as it is safe to do so.
If students would like to take a trip to the Ren Faire for fall celebrations, the Autumn Harvest and three weekends of Halloween Days & Spooky Knights are upcoming events to look forward to.
Students can find more information regarding these events as well as information about the Safety Care Measures the faire has implemented on it. website,
