Last weekend for Field of Screams

By: Alexa Bash ’19, staff writer

Rated No. 1 in the country, Field of Screams is open and ready to terrify anyone who walks through the gate.

This haunted attraction, located in Mountville, PA, features multiple attractions including the Den of Darkness, Frightmare Asylum, Haunted Hayride and the Nocturnal Wasteland. The den and asylum are filled with actors who jump out at every corner, making visitors shake in their boots. The wasteland, one of the newest attractions, is focused around the setup, which includes suspended school buses, electrical impulses and parts to the ground that move as you wander through. Field of Screams also added three escape rooms to their list of attractions with themes of the heist, lockdown and capture.

On Friday, Nov. 9, Field of Screams is hosting “Extreme Blackout Night.” During this event, the lights get turned down and the scaring tactics get turned up. Due to the intensity of this event, all participants must sign a waiver as the actors are hands-on and the experience puts “terrified” as an understatement.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, Field of Screams is hosting the 5K Zombie Run. The proceeds from this event are donated towards PA Breast Cancer Coalition. The run includes an obstacle course, where participants have the option to be a runner or a zombie.

For more information about tickets and hours, go to the Field of Screams website. Nov. 9 – 11 is the last weekend open for Field of Screams. Be sure to take your friends and go this weekend… if you dare.
