Lebanon Valley College’s symphonic band performed with Ephrata high school’s concert band
on Monday in a side-by-side concert.
The college band played two pieces, and the high school band, three. Lebanon Valley played Dope by Kathaj Copley and Bootlegger’s Break by Mason Bates.
This is a great opportunity to demonstrate to high school students in the area what this part of the
college music department is doing. Continuing music in college after high school is not always
common. Showing students that they can continue to play after they graduate is important.
Collaborating in concert together also gives students on both sides an opportunity to listen to
each other and gain new performance experiences.
The college symphonic band also has a full concert on Sunday, April 30th.
