Dutchmen Day preview

(By Val Bildheiser ’25, staff writer)

It’s almost time for LVC’s annual spring celebration, Dutchmen Day! This full-day event will take place on Friday, April 25, and will feature food, crafts and other activities to engage all students.

Jen Evans, director of student engagement, has overseen Dutchmen Day preparations since the event’s creation.

“The executive board has been working hard this semester to plan a fun day of events,” Evans said. “We’re looking for a chance for students, staff and faculty to come out, have fun and unwind before finals.”

Maddie Ayers, an early childhood education and special education major, has served as the student government president throughout the academic year. Ayers has also been a key player in determining themed activities, menus and more.

“I honestly love Dutchmen Day preparation! It’s a time when the creative minds of the executive board come together to find activities that interest all types of people on campus,” Ayers said. “We really set the tone this year to make sure everyone from Student Government is actively engaged and participating to make this the best Dutchmen Day yet.”
