Fall sports season wraps up

As we roll into November, the fall sports seasons are coming to a close.

The field hockey team finished the regular season this past Saturday with a 4-0 win over Delaware Valley. This win clinched the Dutchmen the fourth-place seed in the MAC Freedom championships They will travel to Arcadia University this Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. for a semifinal matchup.

Men’s and women’s soccer also wrapped up their regular seasons on Saturday. The women’s team finished 9-7-2 overall and 2-3-2 in the conference. The men’s team will chase a MAC Freedom championship as they head to number one Stevens Institute of Technology for a semifinal matchup on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

The cross country teams competed in the MAC championships this past weekend. The teams left with hardware as the women placed third out of 16 teams and the men claimed the title placing first out of 16 teams.

Volleyball and football are still wrapping up the regular season. Football has two more conference games left on the schedule. The team is currently 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the conference. They will face Alvernia University and Albright College to finish the season. Volleyball will head into the postseason as they have earned a conference tournament berth. They stand at 5-1 in the MAC Freedom and 14-11 overall with one more conference game left.
