The Jammin’ Jackalopes begin its fall season

LVC’s ultimate frisbee club, the Jammin’ Jackalopes, kicked off its fall season in Gettysburg this past weekend.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, the Jammin’ Jackalopes traveled to Gettysburg for a 6-team tournament. Some of the colleges that attended the tournament were Dickison College, Edinboro University, Frankin & Marshall College (F&M), Gettysburg College and Susquehanna University.

The roster for the Jammin’ Jackalopes was comprised of 16 students, 15 experienced players and one player who had never attended a tournament before.

The Jammers went 2-0 in pool play with a 14-4 win over F&M and 15-8 win over Gettysburg. The team finished in second place after pool play, due to goal differential, and placed second overall in the tournament with a 15-3 win in the semifinals against Edinboro and a 5-13 loss in the finals against Susquehanna.

This tournament marks the start of the fall season for the Jammin’ Jackalopes. The Jammers are back in action Sunday, Nov. 10, at Kutztown University for their final tournament of the fall.
