The men’s and women’s tennis teams are revving up for a challenging spring season.

The MAC Freedom coaches’ preseason poll ranked the women’s team third in the conference while the men’s team was ranked second. Both teams will have their target locked on Stevens Institute of Technology, which was voted the favorite to win in both brackets.

After facing tough opponents during the fall season, both teams have been focusing on strength and conditioning during the winter months to elevate their game. Additionally, preseason practices have begun to prepare both teams for the level of play they will be facing during the spring season.

“We had two players injured this past fall, but they have recovered and will be returning to the court, making the women’s lineup even stronger,” Jenna Miner, a senior player, said. “Like in years past, I have no doubt that this spring season will be filled with unforgettable memories, laughter and of course victories!”

Both teams will face their first competition during the spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina the first week of March.
