Students looking for an exciting immersive experience should apply to be an orientation leader today.
Each year LVC hosts a new student orientation and needs student leaders to serve as orientation leaders (formerly known as First Year Mentors). Those selected for the role guide the new students through their orientation weekend and bond with other fellow orientation leaders along the way.
“I had so much fun meeting and guiding new students,” Cole Byerly, a junior digital communications major said. “I also connected with other orientation leaders and learned valuable lessons along the way.”
In addition to meeting new students, orientation leaders receive perks as well. All orientation leaders are awarded a stipend at the end of the fall semester, will have the ability to move in early and will have all meals covered throughout the duration of orientation.
Students looking to apply can find the application form in their email. Applications are due Friday, Feb. 7, at 4 p.m. Contact Abby Anderson at aanderso@lvc.edu with questions.
