LVC offers both semester long and short term study abroad programs to its students. This summer they are again offering the short-term Netherlands study abroad program where students will get to learn about the ins and outs of Europe and the European union.
Students will study at Maastricht University, one of the countries youngest universities, located at the southernmost tip of the Netherlands.
Alyssa Betz, senior business major, traveled to Maastricht last summer. “Jill Russel and the college do a good job of making studying abroad a smooth experience for us.” Betz said. “They also offer a large scholarship, Katherine J. Bishop Fund, that helps alleviate fees for students.”
This opportunity is open to students in any major and has two study tracks to choose from. Students can either take the Business in European union track or Comparative criminal justice track.
Elizabeth Waltersdorff, senior business and marketing double major, also had the opportunity to study abroad last summer. “Studying in Maastricht was very eye opening.” Waltersdorff said. “I studied the differences in business in the United States compared to Europe and it has helped me expand my knowledge on how businesses operate.”
You can get more information on this opportunity this Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon in Clyde A. Lynch 118.
