Are you looking to help the local community in the Lebanon area? Then welcome LVC’s newest visitors WEPA– a non-profit organization that serves to empower locals, especially Latinos, and help them prepare for the current job market.
Maribel and Rafael Torres, founders of WEPA, are planning a visit to LVC at the end of September to talk about their organization and its core values. The event will be hosted by Dr. Ivette Guzman-Zavala, professor of Spanish.
During the presentation, Maribel and Rafael Torries will discuss the origins of WEPA and how anyone can reach out to the organization to help out their local community.
WEPA’s founders will also offer possible ideas for future collaborations and even internship opportunities for students at LVC.
If interested, the presentation will take place on Monday, Sept. 30, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bishop Library Atrium.
