Field hockey starts strong

The Lebanon Valley College field hockey team started out its season strong as they head into week three at 2-0.

The Dutchmen defeated Elizabethtown College by a score of 4-0 in its home opener on Friday, Aug. 30. This past weekend the team advanced to 2-0 with a 7-3 victory over Eastern University.

In its second year in the MAC Freedom conference, the Dutchmen were ranked second in the preseason poll.

The team will look to face Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. on Arnold Field, before heading to Geneva, New York for a pair of games against St. Lawrence University and William Smith College.

Conference play starts homecoming weekend on Oct. 12, when LVC welcomes Misericordia University for a 6 p.m. home match.
