It is that time of year when winter sports are coming to an end and spring sports are ramping up.
This weekend wrapped up the seasons for a majority of the winter sports teams except for one, women’s basketball.
The women’s basketball team played its last regular season game on Saturday, Feb. 17, against Arcadia University. The lady Dutchmen’s 76-50 victory against the Knights helped them clinch the third-place seed in the MAC Freedom tournament.
The team is set to travel back to Glenside, PA to face off against the Arcadia Knights, the second-place seed, again in the semifinals of the MAC Freedom tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m.
If the Lady Dutchmen win on Wednesday, Feb. 21, they will play against either DeSales University, the first-place seed, or Stevens Institute of Technology, the fourth-place seed, in the MAC Freedom championship game on Saturday, Feb. 24.
