The LVC football team will be making a postseason appearance for the second year in a row.
After finding success in its first winning season in ten years, the Dutchmen have earned a berth in the Centennial-MAC bowl series. The team finished the regular season with a 6-4 overall record.
In this series, there are three bowl games, with the matchups consisting of the first seed of one conference playing the second seed of the other conference and the third seed of each conference playing each other, as well. LVC finished as a number two seed and will face off against top-seeded Muhlenberg College this Saturday, Nov. 18, at 12 p.m.
The Dutchmen will look to top off the 2023 campaign on a positive note with a win, which would be its first bowl game victory since 2011.
“I’m really excited for the bowl game even though it is against a tough opponent,” Aonghas Evanick, junior defensive tackle said. “Our finish to this season is a positive foreshadow of how next season will go.”
Muhlenberg will be hosting the game, but students planning on attending will be admitted into the game free of charge with a suggested donation to Special Olympics. Fans can also stream the game on godutchmen.com
