LVC students serve with Habitat for Humanity

Lebanon Valley College’s Office of Community Service and Volunteerism offers opportunities to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Most recently, LVC students joined the Lebanon Habitat for Humanity to partially demolish unstable parts of a home. Then, a week later, the students added new plywood to the flooring and support beams to the structure. Bruno Mochi, a senior chemistry major was amongst the students that joined the volunteer efforts.

“I liked having the opportunity to do something physical,” Mochi said.  “Although it can be something simple, I felt like I could contribute my strength.”

LVC students worked alongside the Habitat for Humanity volunteers to complete these projects. They did not need to have any prior construction experience or knowledge to participate in this opportunity, as the Habitat for Humanity volunteers led them through the project.

Students interested in participating in opportunities like this can check Redbook for more service opportunities or can connect with the Lebanon/Lancaster Habitat for Humanity directly by going to the link below.
