Sarah Musselman graduated from LVC with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2021; however, she is still here in graduate school studying physical therapy.
By studying exercise science, Musselman has grown her medical knowledge through extensive studies and hands-on learning throughout her time at LVC.
“LVC has given me the opportunity to experience different fields of physical therapy,” Musselman said.
Specifically, in her fourth year, Musselman participated in clinical work every week. She was able to work with patients with the help of licensed physical therapists. Then, in the summer after her fifth year, Musselman and her classmates will progress to full-time clinicals.
After school, Musselman plans to pursue a career in physical therapy, focusing on sports orthopedics. Musselman believes that her experiences at LVC have set her up for success. She expressed how she would recommend others to study physical therapy at the College.
“The DPT program here at LVC offers what few other schools offer, an accelerated PT program offering a doctorate degree in 6 years,” Musselman said. “It’s a lot of hard work but it’s very rewarding.”
