Last season the women’s lacrosse team finished the season with an impressive record of 12-8 and brought home a Middle Atlantic Conference championship.
The team looks to repeat its success this season; however, the team has sustained a few critical losses. The Dutchmen graduated six seniors and former head coach Jackie Dando parted ways with the team over the offseason and accepted a job at Bucknell University. Amidst all the noise, the team is set and eager to repeat last year’s success.
“Everyone’s been working really hard, and we are all very excited for the upcoming season,” Emily Haid, a junior midfielder, said. “As raining MAC champs, we know we have a target on our backs, but we’re ready to bring home another championship.”
The Dutchmen will take on Dickinson College in their first home game of the season Saturday, February 22, at 12 p.m. at Arnold Field.
