Check out everything that the Library has to offer at a welcome back event open to all students.
The Vernon and Doris Bishop Library will host a welcome back event titled, “Back to Bishop”, on Monday, September 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. Students are encouraged to stop in to get an idea of how the Library can help them get the most of their time here at LVC. Librarians will be available to answer any questions one might have about anything in the Library.
Popcorn, lemonade and a variety of other snacks will be available for students to munch on. Students who attend can also get a free Bishop Library sticker, perfect for a water bottle or laptop. Students are reminded to put their name in a drawing to enter to win one of three $20 Barnes and Noble gift cards.
“I want students to know that Bishop Library and our staff are important to their academic success,” Maureen Bentz, Interim Director of Bishop Library, said. “Use of library services and spaces strengthens information literacy, collaborative learning, social interaction and academic inquiry. ‘Back to Bishop’ is the perfect opportunity to connect to the Library.”
Interested students are encouraged to come and meet the warm and friendly Librarians who help to create the one of a kind educational experience here at LVC. Take advantage of all of the resources that the Library has to offer, as it is one of the best places on campus that will help you achieve your goals.
