Jessica Koch ’23 Receives Conservancy Scholarship

Jessica Koch ’23, environmental science, was announced as the recipient of the 2022 Richard H. and Karen R. Light Memorial Scholarship as bestowed by the Lebanon Valley Conservancy. Koch, who completed an internship at the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority and conducted water quality analysis research at Annville’s Quittapahilla Creek, was nominated by Dr. Rebecca Urban, director of environmental science and professor of biology. Koch is interning with DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry this summer.

Boal ’22 and Kemmery ’22 Awarded Clark Associates Scholarships

Randal McCarty P’97, Clark Associates Foundation director and director of recruitment, announced that Logan Boal ’22 (actuarial science and computer & data science) and Brandon Kemmery ’22 (digital communications) were selected to receive $5,000 grants through LVC’s Clark Associates Scholarships. Clark Scholarships are awarded to current sophomores and juniors with outstanding leadership skills or an entrepreneurial spirit. Clark Associates Inc., in Lancaster, is one of the fastest growing companies in Central Pennsylvania, with more than 2,800 employees, including 20+ LVC alumni.

Elise Hanks-Witaszek ’20 Wins LVC’s First-ever Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship

Elise Hanks-Witaszek ’20, a double major in actuarial science and analytical finance from Brimfield, Mass., became the first LVC student to receive a Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship. Hanks-Witaszek will use the $5,000 scholarship to study in the College’s Shanghai, China, program this fall semester.
