Concert Choir Selected to Perform at Association Conference

The LVC Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Kyle Zeuch, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, was selected to perform at the American Choral Directors Association of Pennsylvania summer conference, New Horizons, on August 2. The virtual performance was recorded and edited by choir members during the spring 2021 semester and shared on August 2 with choral directors from throughout Pennsylvania.

Pianist Dr. Eric Fung Performs Live on WRTI

Dr. Eric Fung, associate professor of music, performed live on Temple University’s WRTI 90.1 Feb. 26. Fung, a Steinway artist, performed in honor of the company’s 165th anniversary. He played “Overture” from J.S. Bach’s Overture in the French manner, the first movement of Mozart’s Sonata in A-minor, the Intermezzo in A-minor of Brahms, and Debussy’s “La Vent dans la Plaine.”

Anthony Pieruccini ’18 and Nick Kochanek ’18 Perform Live on ABC

Two rising seniors, Anthony Pieruccini ’18 (music major, business minor) and Nick Kochanek ’18 (music and audio & music production double major), performed on ABC 27’s Good Day PA in early July as part of the Anthony Pieruccini Trio. The group performed their jazz piece, Blues for Mikki, on the live show and promoted their CD, Tri Me, and upcoming performances, including a show at Cassel Vineyards of Hershey at the end of the month.

Joan Squires ’79 Receives Distinguished Broadway Award

Joan Squires, a music education major from the Class of 1979, was recently named as Broadway Presenter of the Year by the Broadway League in New York City. Squires, Omaha Performing Arts President, received the Samuel J. L’Hommedieu Award for Outstanding Achievement in Presenter Management in May at the league’s spring conference. She was recognized for her contributions to the Broadway industry and the arts in Omaha, Neb.
