Dr. Dolan Cited as Expert in Newsweek Article

Dr. Chris J. Dolan, professor of political science, was recently quoted in the Newsweek article, “Will Russia Invade Moldova Next? Experts Weigh In.” Dr. Dolan, serving a Fulbright appointment in The Republic of North Macedonia, “The problem for NATO is that the presence of Russian troops in Transnistria allows Russia to rapidly use its military forces to defend its interests in Eastern Europe, and maintain its presence on behalf of Russian speakers and minorities.”

Dr. Chris Dolan, political science, article, “Biden Hampers European Autonomy” was published in Newsweek and MSN (including its New Zealand edition) on Dec. 15. It was the second time this year both outlets published Dr. Dolan’s work. 

Dr. Dolan’s Opinion Piece on Obama–Trump Published in Newsweek; New Book Deal Signed

Dr. Chris Dolan, chair of history, politics, and global studies, wrote an opinion piece, “Obama First Tapped into the Roots of Trump’s America,” that was published on Newsweek Nov. 8. Dr. Dolan highlighted some surprisingly similar international policies and statements between the current and past president, yet some especially important differences.

 

Dr. Dolan also signed a contract with Rowan and Littlefield to publish Obama and the Emergence of a Multipolar World Order: Redefining U.S. Foreign Policy in 2018.

Professor Snyder Pens Opinion Piece in Newsweek

Jeff Snyder, professor of music, director of music business, and director of the VALE music group, wrote an opinion piece, “Untimely Death: Still a Great Career Move,” that was published on Newsweek’s website June 17. Professor Snyder highlighted numerous instances in which a noted performer’s music sales increased, often significantly, after their deaths.
