Dr. Prince, Dr. Rasmussen, Professor Rosenberg Add New Roles

Dr. Barbara Prince, assistant professor of sociology, will serve as director of CETL and Faculty Professional Development in 2021–22. Dr. Michelle Rasmussen, assistant professor of chemistry, will assume the role as director of Constellation for 2021–22. And, Terri Rosenberg, assistant professor of English, will oversee the First-Year Experience as director for 2021–22.

Brandon Roy ’20 Published in Biosensors

Brandon Roy ’20, biochemistry & molecular biology, was published in Biosensors, a peer-reviewed journal, for work done as an LVC undergraduate. Roy was part of Dr. Michelle Rasmussen’s research group, which also included Julia Rutherford ’18, Anna Weaver ’21, and Kevin Beaver ’19. 

Robert Tesoriero ’19 Gets Honorable Mention Nod from Goldwater Foundation

Robert Tesoriero ’19, a biochemistry & molecular biology major and music minor from Ridgewood, N.J., received an Honorable Mention accolade in the field of life sciences from The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. Tesoriero plans to pursue a Ph.D. in biotechnology. He was mentored by Dr. Walter Patton, chair and associate professor of chemistry, and Dr. Michelle Rasmussen, assistant professor of chemistry. Dr. Philip Benesch, director of external scholarships & fellowships, helped guide Tesoriero through the process.
