Four Student Researchers Publish Work with Dr. David Lyons and Dr. Scott Walck

Daniel J. Upchurch ’16 (physics), Mark A. Peters ’17 (actuarial science and mathematics double major), Nathaniel P. Gibbons ’18 (physics and mathematics double major), and Ezekiel W. Wertz ’18 (physics major, mathematics and computer & data science double minor) co-authored an article, Local Paul Stabilizers of Symmetric Hypergraph States, in the May issue of Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical (Vol. 50, No. 24).

They co-authored the article with faculty mentors Dr. David Lyons, professor of mathematical sciences, and Dr. Scot Walck, chair and professor of physics. The paper, which focused on quantum information science, was largely the result of the students’ summer research projects with the LVC Mathematical Physics Research Group.
