Business Students Excel Globally

Two teams in Business 376 were ranked in the Global Top 100 for the week. “Beyond Imagery,” comprised of Jacob Beard, Madison Donahue, and Joe Qiao, ranked #45 of 3,153 teams from 144 institutions participating in the world-wide business simulation. They were ranked in the “Return on Average Equity” category. “Comfort Tech,” comprised of Sally Cho, Evan Fedorowicz, and Dustin Fisher, ranked #85 in the same category, though in a different week competing against 5,054 team from 258 institutions.

Phi Beta Lambda Members Compete at State Leadership Conference

Nine members of the LVC chapter of Phi Beta Lambda represented the College at the 47th Pennsylvania Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in April, with six of them placing among the top three in various competitions. This qualifies the six place-winners to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Baltimore in June.

International Leadership Executive to Speak at LVC

Marshall Goldsmith, author of 35 books that have sold more than two million copies, was interviewed by Central Penn Business Journal regarding his Oct. 9 appearance at LVC. Goldsmith will lecture as part of the Business and Economics Department’s inaugural Business Symposium. The free event will be held in partnership with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.

Eimear McElwee, a nursing student at Queen’s University in Belfast, is spending this academic year studying business at LVC through the British Council’s Study USA Program. It is the fourth consecutive year that Lebanon Valley has welcomed a Northern Irish student through this prestigious program.

Anthony Pieruccini ’18 and Nick Kochanek ’18 Perform Live on ABC

Two rising seniors, Anthony Pieruccini ’18 (music major, business minor) and Nick Kochanek ’18 (music and audio & music production double major), performed on ABC 27’s Good Day PA in early July as part of the Anthony Pieruccini Trio. The group performed their jazz piece, Blues for Mikki, on the live show and promoted their CD, Tri Me, and upcoming performances, including a show at Cassel Vineyards of Hershey at the end of the month.
