Chair Dellinger Connects with His Family—and LVC—Roots

Wes Dellinger ’75, P’05, chair of the Board of Trustees, recently made a road trip to Texas for the presidential inauguration of Steve O’Day, former LVC vice president. While there, Wes took a side trip to visit the gravesite of his great-grandfather, Dr. James T. Spangler, LVC Class of 1890. Wes believes he may be the first family member to visit the site of Dr. Spangler, who served as interim professor of Greek language and literature for a year after graduating, then returned full-time in that role in 1897. He later taught at the Dallas Theological Seminary for three decades.

 

William Lehr, Chair Emeritus, Honored by Americans for the Arts

William Lehr Jr., Esq., a long-time member and two-term chair of the College’s Board of Trustees, was honored as part of the National Arts and Humanities Month in New York City last night. Lehr received a national arts award, the Legacy Award, and was honored among the likes of five-time Grammy winner Clive Davis.
