Ally Hepp ’17, audio & music production and music business, was recently interviewed for the Avixa website regarding an internship she had with New Era Technology. The writer for Avixa, which has hired several LVC alumni, also wrote about Ally’s scholarship from the AVIXA Foundation.

Henry Devorick ’20, an audio & music production and music double major, was named VALE Artist of the Year becoming just the third artist to receive a contract with VALE Music Group, the College’s student-run record label. As VALE’s newest artist, Devorick opened for We The Kings during ValleyFest and release an EP, Nelson’s Umbrella, during VALE’s Spring Festival.

Dr. Barry Hill, director and professor of audio & music production, published a piece posted on one of his industry’s most prominent websites, ProSoundWeb. In “Teaching Audio: Time For A Paradigm Change?” Professor Hill discusses whether analog systems are still relevant in a curriculum intended to train future recording engineers.

Animal Years, a trio that includes Anthony Spinnato ’11, music recording technology (audio & music production) on drums, was featured on Rolling Stone‘s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know.” Anthony also is studio manager at The Cutting Room in New York City, whose clients range from Jay-Z and John Legend to Dashboard Confessional and David Byrne.

Two rising seniors, Anthony Pieruccini ’18 (music major, business minor) and Nick Kochanek ’18 (music and audio & music production double major), performed on ABC 27’s Good Day PA in early July as part of the Anthony Pieruccini Trio. The group performed their jazz piece, Blues for Mikki, on the live show and promoted their CD, Tri Me, and upcoming performances, including a show at Cassel Vineyards of Hershey at the end of the month.
