Massad’s Art Featured in New York City Exhibition

Pastel paintings on paper by Dan Massad, artist-in-residence, are featured in an exhibition at New York City’s Forum Gallery through March 12. Massad, who “creates still lifes of objects of personal and historic significance,” is one of four artists featured in the Stillness of Life display.

Massad’s Work Displayed in National Gallery of Art

Dan Massad, artist-in-residence, had his work included in a show at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. He also appeared on an episode of National Gallery of Art Conversations and was interviewed for The Pastel Journal.

Artist-in-Residence Receives Grant for Retrospective and Book

Dan Massad, LVC’s long-time artist-in-residence and adjunct in the art & visual culture program, received a generous grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation to cover costs for a retrospective of his work being organized by the Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State University. Massad’s exhibition at Palmer opens Sept. 18, 2018. The $25,000 grant will also cover a book tracking the artist’s work history, which will be distributed through Penn State University Press.
