Diane Rhine-Longenecker M’98, business administration, joined Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. as commercial relationship officer. She has more than 35 years of financial experience.

Fulbright Honoree Kristy Sonberg ’18 Highlighted in Hometown Newspaper

Kristy Sonberg ’18, early childhood education and special education, was featured in The Star Democrat after being named the College’s third Fulbright Finalist, and 17th overall, this spring. Sonberg will travel to South Korea as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant.

 

 

Anthony Calabrese ’73 Inducted into Geneva Sports Hall of Fame

Anthony Calabrese ’73, psychology, a three-sport star in high school and a football and lacrosse star at LVC, was inducted into the 2018 class of the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame. In 1989, he was inducted into the LVC Athletic Hall of Fame and in 2013 Calabrese was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Century Lacrosse Team.

Lindsey Yeiser Hibshman ’01 Inducted into MAC Hall of Fame

Lindsey Yeiser Hibshman ’01, elementary education, one of the greatest defenders in the history of LVC field hockey, was inducted into the Middle Atlantic Conference Hall of Fame. She was a three-time All-American and in 1999 was named MAC MVP.

 

Dr. Si Pham ’79 Featured in Lebanon Daily News

Dr. Si Pham, chemistry, shared his story of coming to the U.S. as a Vietnamese refugee in the 1960s, and of becoming a world-renowned surgeon. Dr. Pham had returned to campus to receive the College’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

 

Dr. David Bolton ’89 Named Pennridge Superintendent

Dr. David Bolton ’89, mathematics, was named superintendent of Pennridge. He previously served as assistant superintendent for elementary education in the Central Bucks School District.

Bonnie Wagner Minnich ’81 Buys Golf Course

Bonnie Wagner Minnich ’81, elementary education, recently purchased the Tanglewood Manor Golf Club. The transaction keeps the course in the family since it was purchased from her brother, Dwight Wagner.

 

Brian Cerullo ’00 Named Ephrata Girls’ Basketball Coach

Brian Cerullo ’00, accounting and Spanish, was named as the new head coach for girls’ basketball at Ephrata High School. He has worked in the district as a Spanish teacher at the high school since 2002.

Jeff Bates ’16 Receives Graduate Student of the Year Award

Jeff Bates ’16, former student trustee, received the Graduate Student of the Year Award at the Association for Student Conduct Administration annual national conference in Jacksonville, Fla., in February. Jeff is a second-year student in the College Student Development Program at Appalachian State University.
