Dr. Zeuch Presents and Conducts

Dr. Kyle Zeuch, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities presented “Social Justice Songs in the Choral Classroom,” at the Pennsylvania Music Education Association Summer Conference,” and “Panel Discussion: Rehearsing, Programming, and Leading Socially-Distant Choirs,” at the Pennsylvania American Choral Directors Summer Webinar. Dr. Zeuch also served as guest conductor for the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Middle Level Honor Choirs, Wisc., and Lancaster Lebanon Music Education Association County Choir, Quarryville, Pa. 

Dr. Oriel Presents at National Conference with Alumni

Dr. Katie Oriel, professor of physical therapy, presented “Promoting Exercise in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from Preschool Through Adolescence: Benefits, Barriers, and Practical Strategies for Success,” at the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy annual conference with Dr. Tanner Reed ’17, D’19, Dr. Rachel Saufley ’17, D’19, Dr. Erin Wetzel ’16, D’19, and Dr. Courtney Wilt ’17, D’19. 

Dr. Manza Presents at Boston Conference with Students and Alumni

Dr. Lou Manza, chair and professor of psychology, presented two sessions with students and alumni at the Eastern Psychological Association Conference in Boston, Mass. In the first, he presented with Ashley Doty ’21, Shelby Anderson ’22, Gina Ebersole ’20, and Sydney Petrasic ’22. In the second, Dr. Manza presented with Rebecca McIlhenny ’20, Molly Gavin ’20, Misty Snyder ’20, Bailey Harper ’22, and Mallory Anderson ’23.

Education Faculty Present at State Conference

Dr. Lindsay Koch, assistant professor of education, Dr. Jennifer Kanupka, chair and associate professor of education and director of special education, and Jennifer Kuntz, assistant professor of education, presented “The Use of Critical Reflection through a Concentrated Book Study to Enhance the Use of Active Engagement Strategies in Preservice Teachers,” at the Pennsylvania Association of College and Teacher Educators

Dr. Ferreira Presents in Atlanta and during Virtual Conference

Dr. Diego Ferreira, assistant professor of exercise science, presented a poster, “Variability of individual response to whole-body vibration and treadmill walking in ambulatory children with cerebral palsy,” at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Virtual Conference. He also presented two additional posters, “Effects of body position and external load on knee joint kinematics and muscle activity in healthy young adults during the pendulum test,” and “Acute effects of whole-body vibration on stair ascent in children with Down syndrome,” at the American Society of Biomechanics annual meeting in Atlanta, Ga. 

Dr. Davis Reflects at Conference

Dr. Sharon Davis, assistant professor of music and director of music education, presented “Reflections on an inter-collegiate music creation collaboration,” at the Modern Band Colloquium.

Dr. Josephson Provides Commentary for PA Capital-Star

Dr. Kimberlee Josephson, associate dean of the Breen Center for Graduate Success and assistant professor of business administration, published a commentary piece, “Here’s how to combat politically charged office watercooler chat,” in the PA Capital-Star. The piece also was picked up by Patch.

Dr. Eldred Appears on ABC 27

Dr. Laura Eldred, assistant dean and director of Constellation LVC, discussed horror in film and literature with viewers of ABC TV’s Good Day PA.
