Dr. Dolan Op-Ed Published by Newsweek, Appeared on MSN

Dr. Chris Dolan, political science, article, “Biden Hampers European Autonomy” was published in Newsweek and MSN (including its New Zealand edition) on Dec. 15. It was the second time this year both outlets published Dr. Dolan’s work. 

Faculty Collaborate with Students on Journal Publication

Faculty from three departments—physical therapyspeech-language pathology, and education—collaborated with students, now alumni, on “The Impact of an Aquatic Social Competence Program on Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder.” Dr. Katie Oriel, professor of physical therapy, Dr. Michelle Scesa, chair and assistant professor of communication sciences & disorders/speech-language pathology, and Dr. Jennifer Wood Kanupka, chair and associate professor of education and director of special education, worked with Dr. Andrew Deardofff ’18, D’20, Sarah Grow ’18, D’20, Lindsay Lane ’18, D’20, and Dr. Olivia Poltonavage ’18, D’20 on the project published in The Journal of Aquatic Physical Therapy.

Dr. McEvoy Earns Irish Studies Certification

Dr. Gabriela McEvoy, chair of languages and professor of Spanish, completed her certification in Irish Studies at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. McEvoy earned the certificate virtually through the university’s Modern Languages Program.

Drs. Eldred and Harris Co-Author Skills Development Piece

Dr. Laura Eldred, assistant dean and director of Constellation LVC, and Dr. Marc Harris, dean of the faculty and deputy Title IX coordinator, published “How Lebanon Valley College is Delivering on Skills Development with the Help of ETS,” in ETS Open Notes in October. 

Dr. Rebecca Urban Interviewed by Harrisburg Magazine

Dr. Rebecca Urban, director of environmental science and professor of biology, was interviewed by Harrisburg Magazine for the story “Now is the time when plants need help the most.”

Dr. Rebecca Urban, director of environmental science and professor of biology, co-authored “Assessment of Student Learning in Undergraduate Courses with Collaborative Projects from the Ecological Research as Education Network,” in Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research.  

Drs. Oriel and Price Published with Alumni in International Journal

Dr. Katie Oriel, professor of physical therapy, and Dr. Jennifer Price, director of physical therapy clinical education, published “The Impact of an Adapted Climbing Program on Children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder,” in the International Journal of Physical Education, Fitness and Sports. Dr. Erin Angelini ’17, D’19, Dr. Greta Myers ’17, D’19, Dr. Kyle Cook ’17, D’19, and Dr. Ross Drawbaugh ’17, D’19 were co-authors.

Dr. Crewe Presents at National Conference

Dr. Ashlie Crewe, physical therapy adjunct faculty, presented “Bridging the Gap Between Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physical Therapy,” at the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists Annual Conference. 

Massad’s Work Displayed in National Gallery of Art

Dan Massad, artist-in-residence, had his work included in a show at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. He also appeared on an episode of National Gallery of Art Conversations and was interviewed for The Pastel Journal.

Dr. Berger-Knorr Publishes with Students

Dr. Ann Berger-Knorr, associate professor of education, published “Keystone to Reading Book Awards Meet STEM,” at the Pennsylvania Read: Journal of the Keystone State Literary Association with Hannah Booth ’20, Sierra Painter ’20, Samantha Ritchie ’20, and Lauren Sigmon ’20.
