Engagement in the Community

Treva Clark has been invited to a reception at The Governor’s Residence on Monday, Sept. 19th to “Celebrate Pennsylvania’s Global Impact.” This invitation is a result of her on-going work with the World Trade Center in Harrisburg, and her recent nomination as an academic representative to the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC).  The USGLC “is a non-partisan, broad-based network of over 500 businesses and NGOs; national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic, military, and community leaders in all 50 states who support strategic investments to elevate development and diplomacy alongside defense in order to build a better, safer world.”

Prior to Treva’s inclusion on the Pennsylvania Advisory Council to the USGLC, representation was limited to schools such as UPenn – Wharton School, Carnegie Mellon, and Pitt’s School of Business.  Treva is the first rep from a small, private, liberal arts institution.

In July, Shelly Moorman-Stahlman served as the faculty Coordinator for the AGO Pipe Organ Encounter Plus, a week long organ camp for adult students from throughout the United States held this year at Messiah College.  She assembled faculty that included well known church musicians and professors throughout the region.  Included on the faculty were two past students of Lebanon Valley College: Charles Grove and Tyler Canonico.
