Members of the group demonstrated their abilities and raised awareness of the value of ASL throughout campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club&#8217;s first fundraiser occurred in February when members sold candy grams imprinted with the ASL sign for &#8220;I love you&#8221; to generate money for club events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThanks to the staff and student support, the project was successful and raised over $100,\u201d Mia Diebert, junior speech-language pathology major and president of the ASL Club, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club also welcomed an interpreter as a guest speaker who offered insightful knowledge about interpreting and her own experiences dealing with various individuals.
