{"id":9743,"date":"2023-03-27T14:27:07","date_gmt":"2023-03-27T14:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=9743"},"modified":"2023-03-27T14:27:07","modified_gmt":"2023-03-27T14:27:07","slug":"fbla-conference-welcomes-dutchmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2023\/03\/27\/fbla-conference-welcomes-dutchmen\/","title":{"rendered":"FBLA conference welcomes Dutchmen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Zack Kime \u201923, editor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted its State Leadership Conference this past Saturday, March 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five LVC students attended the Conference: Michaela Linsey \u201926, Hope Fisher <a>\u2019<\/a>24, Bella Getz \u201924, Gigi Mustafa \u201923 and Ben Ramsaroop-Jaimungal \u201923.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the event, students from across Pennsylvania attended workshops, tested their abilities in a brief competition and capped off the night with an awards ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\"It was amazing to meet other passionate students who are also pursuing business,\u201d Fisher said. \u201cThe energy was infectious.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LVC even took home a few awards. Ramsaroop-Jaimungal placed first for Management Concepts, while Fisher and Linsey placed second in Entrepreneurship Concepts and Accounting Foundations respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was the first in-person Conference held by the Pennsylvania FBLA since 2019 and attending this has even sparked Ramsaroop-Jaimungal and Fisher to consider pursing the National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt was a great opportunity to network with other students and attend workshops led by business professionals,\u201d Getz said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was a good day to be a Dutchman.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By Zack Kime \u201923, editor The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted its State Leadership Conference this past Saturday, March 18.
