{"id":9603,"date":"2023-02-21T03:53:41","date_gmt":"2023-02-21T03:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=9603"},"modified":"2023-02-21T03:53:41","modified_gmt":"2023-02-21T03:53:41","slug":"successful-fundraiser-for-asl-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2023\/02\/21\/successful-fundraiser-for-asl-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Successful fundraiser for ASL club"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>By Charlotte Duffield \u201924, staff writer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LVC\u2019s American Sign Language club decided to host a Valentine-themed fundraiser of hand-delivering candy grams for others\u2019 loved ones this Valentine\u2019s Day, and it was a major success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club raised hundreds of dollars to aid in supporting local communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis was the first fundraiser the club has held,\u201d Alie August, a junior speech-language pathology major and vice president of the ASL club, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The club is raising money in the hope that club members can be able can go out into different communities and practice singing in real-world situations.
