The \u201cGhosts of LVC\u201d tour, one of the schools\u2019 most popular homecoming traditions, is back in full force for this fall semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tour, hosted by Dr. Kevin Pry, associate professor of English, examines the long-standing ghost stories of LVC while walking across campus. The voyage to different buildings around campus highlights the paranormal stories and accounts from students and faculty in each area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pry stated that the tour is \u201cfamily-friendly but spooky\u201d with moments that can \u201cget people ginned up to be scared.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 20 years ago, former Judge John Walter passed the reins as host of the tour to Pry. Walter, a judge in Lebanon County, told five to six stories on his ghost tours as he only included those that had testimonial evidence. Walter\u2019s tours brought out about 15-20 students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, when Pry began hosting the tour there was only one timeslot, yet there were years that saw more than 200 students present. After the tour was split into two separate times, Pry recalled that the turnout steadied to around 100 students per tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pry\u2019s tour uses student accounts of ghostly encounters as well as the original legends dating back to the late 1800s. He stated that there are more than two dozen ghost stories across campus and the majority are included in each tour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLVC\u2019s most famous ghost story, and I won\u2019t give too much away, is the ghost of Mary Green,\u201d Pry said.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ghost story is not only famous amongst LVC students, faculty and alumni but has also been featured on SyFy\u2019s series \u201cSchool Spirits.\u201d Additionally, the ghost of Mary Green is featured on various ghost-hunting websites and has been written about in local news articles.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students will have two opportunities to attend the ghost tour and learn about the multitude of campus legends. On Friday, Oct. 14, Pry will host tours at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Each tour lasts approximately an hour and a half and will begin on the terrace of the Allan W.
