Parking at Lebanon Valley has been a point of contention for students during these first few weeks of classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many students have found themselves unable to find a spot, even in Red Lot, which has been completely filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s almost impossible to find a parking spot if everyone is on campus. Upperclassmen, including fifth year cyber security major Anna Donnelly, shared that she almost had to park in the freshmen Gold Lot, a ten minute walk from main campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is ridiculous,\u201d Donnelly said. \u201cAm I seriously going to walk a mile every time I need to drive somewhere?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only has there been issue with finding spots, but the new parking rules have also caused some unhappy murmurs as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fine amounts have changed, which students have commented on as being too harsh. $50 for one violation, $100 for the second and $150 plus a boot on your tire for the third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s understandable that they need us to follow the rules but $50 for a single violation is unbelievable,\u201d Donnelly said. \u201cWhat kind of college student has that type of money laying around?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, instead of parking stickers inside the back window, bumper stickers have been implemented as a replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey\u2019re just ugly to be honest,\u201d a senior business student said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, students must be sure to avoid backing into spaces, as they must keep the bumper sticker facing outward at all times, or they will receive a ticket. This includes pulling through spaces as well.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
