This decision was made in consultation with LVC\u2019s Penn State Health advisors and based on the low COVID-19 infection rates in Lebanon County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite this change, students should continue to carry masks with them as professors can continue to require masking in classrooms, labs or other learning spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While this decision may appear to be a nail in the COVID-19 coffin, it\u2019s important to know that this policy is subject to change if infection rates rise or a new variant develops. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whatever someone\u2019s masking choice may be, let\u2019s remember to stay respectful, stay smart and stay safe LVC.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By Branden Matassa '22, OTG editor Beginning Monday, March 21, LVC\u2019s campus will become mask optional.
