It\u2019s time for the music department to begin preparing for another year of Christmas at the Valley.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many alumni return to listen to the sounds of the season, while others are still members of the Annville community. No matter who is coming, they will all get the wonderful opportunity to listen to the LVC choirs and musicians.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s concert is even more special, considering that last year it was completely online. The concert will be in-person this year, and families will be able to sit together with their masks on.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many students are excited about having the live concert again and singing for an in-person audience. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has started, they have not been able to sing in front of people. The choirs had their first in-person concert this past October.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think music is best experienced live and it\u2019s nice to get back into the feel of being able to perform live,\u201d Chad Schies, a junior history secondary education major, said. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to having my friends, family and significant other come to the concert.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The college choir, concert choir and chamber choir are all preparing to have all their music memorized for the performances.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe memorization is a little stressful, but I feel like I\u2019ll have them down in a month,” Schies said. “Overall though it\u2019s so much fun to be able to sing in person again.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas at the Valley will take\u00a0place during the first weekend of December. The Saturday performance will be at\u00a07 p.m. and the Sunday performance will be at 3 p.m. Both concerts will take place in Miller Chapel.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
