{"id":7486,"date":"2021-10-25T19:11:13","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T19:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=7486"},"modified":"2021-10-25T19:11:13","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T19:11:13","slug":"preview-mens-ice-hockey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2021\/10\/25\/preview-mens-ice-hockey\/","title":{"rendered":"PREVIEW: Men&#8217;s ice hockey"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>By Casey Shillabeer &#8217;22, staff writer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The winter sports season is right around the corner and the men\u2019s ice hockey team is gearing up for its long season ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Middle Atlantic Conference&#8217;s poll standings for the season, LVC is tied for second with Wilkes University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was good that the hard work from last season was noticed, and we are looking to get to first place,\u201d graduate student and captain, Alex Borowiec, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last season was cut short because of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are most excited to play a full season rather than the seven that we had last year,\u201d Borowiec said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team had its first exhibition match this past Saturday, and they will be back on the ice Saturday, Oct. 30, at home against Morrisville State at Hersheypark Arena at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By Casey Shillabeer &#8217;22, staff writer The winter sports season is right around the corner and the men\u2019s ice hockey team is gearing up for its long season ahead.
