{"id":7471,"date":"2021-10-26T15:17:10","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T15:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=7471"},"modified":"2021-10-26T15:17:10","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T15:17:10","slug":"senior-spotlight-sarah-musselman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2021\/10\/26\/senior-spotlight-sarah-musselman\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Spotlight: Sarah Musselman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>By Jordan Walter &#8217;24 staff writer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah Musselman graduated from LVC with a bachelor\u2019s degree in exercise science in 2021; however, she is still here in graduate school studying physical therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By studying exercise science, Musselman has grown her medical knowledge through extensive studies and hands-on learning throughout her time at LVC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLVC has given me the opportunity to experience different fields of physical therapy,\u201d Musselman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Specifically, in her fourth year, Musselman participated in clinical work every week.  She was able to work with patients with the help of licensed physical therapists. Then, in the summer after her fifth year, Musselman and her classmates will progress to full-time clinicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After school, Musselman plans to pursue a career in physical therapy, focusing on sports orthopedics.  Musselman believes that her experiences at LVC have set her up for success. She expressed how she would recommend others to study physical therapy at the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe DPT program here at LVC offers what few other schools offer, an accelerated PT program offering a doctorate degree in 6 years,\u201d Musselman said. \u201cIt&#8217;s a lot of hard work but it&#8217;s very rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By Jordan Walter &#8217;24 staff writer Sarah Musselman graduated from LVC with a bachelor\u2019s degree in exercise science in 2021; however, she is still here in graduate school studying physical therapy.
