Students, faculty and visitors will be able to enjoy a display done of student new art work.<\/p>\n

In the fall of 2016, students who took the sculpture studio art class under the instruction of Professor Karen Beall, adjunct instructor of art and studio coordinator. The class was based on miniature artworks under the conceptual theme of \u201cDwelling\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the lens of society and culture, the project investigates structures that provide shelter and that are considered home in vernacular architecture,\u201d Professor Beall said.<\/p>\n

After considering what a dwelling can represent, the students spent time researching and developing their work and the message they want to convey. Each student then went around campus and decided what location would best support what they were trying to express.<\/p>\n

Students then sent their project proposal to a panel for evaluation and after it met the panel’s criteria they began creating their pieces.<\/p>\n

Now that the pieces are finished they are on display across campus and will be up for the next few weeks. The project proposals are displayed in the Clyde A. Lynch Memorial Hall. Look below for a complete list of participating students and their artwork locations.<\/p>\n
