It is a big year for seniors, especially for LVC\u2019s most popular students: physical therapy (PT) majors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Miller is a senior physical therapy major who has had great experiences during his time at LVC. After he graduates, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in PT, which as he explained, is a program that takes four years of undergraduate and three years of graduate school. He went on to explain that the LVC PT program requires three years of undergraduate and three years of graduate school, so even though he is graduating with his undergraduate degree, he has only just begun his graduate program. Though he is unsure as to what he will specialize in, he will take part in multiple internships in his fifth and sixth year, which will help him decide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Miller first came to LVC, he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life up until his junior year. One day, Sam Miller\u2019s mother recommended that he investigate physical therapy. He began by shadowing a physical therapist, looking into what they do for people and how they helped people. To Miller, physical therapy is a personal business, getting to know people and understanding people on an individual basis, as well as help cure people of their physical discomfort and pain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI enjoy making relationships with people to help them heal, both mentally and physically,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He feels that his time at LVC has helped him mature and made him more independent. He also feels that his time at the College has helped him grow in his faith a lot, as well as helped him build good relationships and shape him as an individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is also a member of the Bible study group DiscipleMakers, which he joined as a sophomore in the fall of 2018. It is a place where he could go and plug into the spiritual life on campus and opened him up to a lot of opportunities to grow in his faith. By surrounding himself with like-minded people of the same faith and same age, he feels that has helped him prosper as a student at LVC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miller is also looking forward to graduation, seeing it as a new chapter in his life, starting with his full-time graduate school, as well moving into his new apartment and marrying Stephanie Jones, to whom he proposed to in Oct. 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miller will continue his graduate degree at LVC after graduating with his undergraduate degree in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
