He is currently working at the Bishop Library.

“Working at the library has allowed me to hit a different part of the student lifestyle that I didn’t have before,” Ford said. “It is a great environment and allows me to be academic. The people who work full there are supportive, and it is a great part of college life.”

Most of his friends are not in the same major as him, and it has been a unique experience for him. For Ford, the core of digital communications surrounds how to communicate with others and message information. Though he is still uncertain as to what he is going to do once he graduates from LVC, he considers himself a Jack-of-all-trades and is open to wherever his degree will take him.

When not in classes, Dan spends a lot of his free time on the executive team for DiscipleMakers, an on-campus Bible study group. He devotes much of his time to this group, taking a passion for spreading fellowship, and enjoys reading scripture with all students on campus. Although he is on the executive team, he still considers himself just a member, seeing himself as a servant to his faith more than a leader.

Ford also wanted to make it known that DiscipleMakers meetings will be held Thursday nights at 7 p.m. at Old Union Fire Hose building in Annville. Men’s and women’s Bible studies will be held throughout the week.

“The fellowship involved with DiscipleMakers is Gospel-centered and loving and has had a huge impact on my life,” Ford said. “I have been leading a different lifestyle because of it, and the people of DiscipleMakers are the reason I love it so much.”

For Ford, LVC has been an amazing experience. As a freshman, he first applied to LVC and Westminster, but he knew immediately upon being accepted, LVC was the college for him. It has changed him in amazing ways, coming in only looking for financially stable majors, but came to grow more confident and chose a major that he loved.

“The small campus is great for getting to know everyone, and people are generally happy here,” Ford said. “It creates a unique college community and environment that will stick with me forever.”

Daniel Ford’s commencement ceremony will take place on May 23, 2021.

By Tyler Nell ’21, staff writer 2021 is going to be a big year for the graduating seniors at LVC.
