This old fashioned, single-screen theatre is preparing for the holiday by gathering some of Halloween fans\u2019 favorite films. These movies include \u201cThe Nightmare Before Christmas\u201d, \u201cPsycho (1960)\u201d, \u201cDracula Ballet\u201d and \u201cHalloween (2018).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll October long\nwe\u2019ve been showing some of our favorite Halloween movies to bring some\nexcitement back to the community,\u201d Nick Felty, a manager at the Allen Theatre\nand Backstage Caf\u00e9, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the chance to\nsee \u201cThe Nightmare Before Christmas\u201d has already passed, there are many\nopportunities to see the other spooky films throughout the rest of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never seen \u2018The\nNightmare Before Christmas,\u2019 but after seeing it at the Allen Theater I really\nfell in love with the whimsical charm this film had to offer as well as the\nabsolutely adorable aesthetic of the theater,\u201d Kaitlyn Reed, a senior political\nscience major, said. \u201cI hope to see more films at the Allen Theatre, like \u2018Halloween\u2019,\nwhich is coming out soon. I believe it\u2019s important to support small businesses\nduring the pandemic, and the Allen is a definite hotspot for Friday night films,\nor any other day really.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Allen Theatre\nhas chosen two special showings for Halloween. \u201cDracula Ballet\u201d is set for Oct.\n30 and Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m. As a treat to local Halloween fans, they have also\nchosen to feature \u201cHalloween (2018)\u201d on the same dates for a rare night showing\nat 10 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current showing\nis the uncut and unrated version of \u201cPsycho (1960)\u201d at the theatre\u2019s regular\nshowtimes of 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Halloween\nlovers nearby, the Allen Theatre is a great place to get in the holiday spirit\nwith friends and family.
