Recently the athletes at LVC have been forced to face a new one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As mask wearing has quickly become the new norm, businesses and schools have adopted their own rules and regulations about wearing them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a wide\narray of mask options available, it\u2019s clear that each athlete holds their own\npreference. Logan Reever, LVC\u2019s interim head strength and conditioning coach,\nalso gave his thoughts on what masks are the least weight when exercising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSurgical\nmasks seem to be the lightest, but they come at the cost of being disposable,\u201d\nReever said. \u201cIf you can get a cloth one, it\u2019ll typically feel nicer and you\u2019ll\nbe able to use it over again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Factors that\nplayed into the team\u2019s decision making ranged from comfort level, to\nappearance, to temperature control while exercising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lacrosse senior\nmidfielder Michael Fisher wears a buff-style mask that he says is convenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnytime I\nwant a drink or need a breath while we\u2019re working out, I just pull it down it\nfor a second and I\u2019m good to go,\u201d Fisher said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are\nalso masks designed with moisture wicking qualities to help prevent sweating\nand discomfort. These are typically made out of a dry-fit material and come at\na higher cost than generic masks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lacrosse junior goalie Nick Serrano wears that type of mask. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just\nanother precaution we as athletes have to take and I think it\u2019s all about doing\nyour part,\u201d Serrano said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As various other sports teams have returned to the weight room, there have been many different colors and styles of masks on display.
