At the start\nof the academic year, LVC put in new rules and guidelines to prevent the\nspread of COVID-19. With all the changes occurring, how is this affecting students\u2019 lives? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dre Burch, a senior criminal justice and football player, discusses how this year has been different from the past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThings are a lot stricter this year,\u201d Burch said. \u201cThere is a\nlimited amount of people that can sit at tables in the cafeteria and\narrows you have to follow to get what you need. You can\u2019t\nreally sit with all your friends and that\u2019s a disappointment because\nlast year we would almost try to squeeze 10 people into a table at a time.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes have also occurred in the classroom which has\nleft Burch and other students feeling different as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe classes are all split up between Zoom and in-person classes,\u201d Burch said. \u201cSome days I have Zoom classes and other days it is in person so it kind of gets confusing sometimes. We never really had to deal with years prior.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Burch being an athlete and frequently using the LVC weight room and training facilities, he gives us a look at how that has changed as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEverything is structured to remain distant,\u201d Burch added. \u201cThere is a limited number of people allowed in the weight room at a time and everything is more spread out. In addition to this, there is a signup sheet you need to fill out to work out in the arena. Hopefully, things eventually get normal so we can go back to how school was and felt before.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LVC continues to remain socially distancing and requiring the rules and guidelines that they put in place at the beginning of the academic year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
