{"id":6137,"date":"2020-09-16T19:18:22","date_gmt":"2020-09-16T19:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/wordpress\/lavie\/?p=6137"},"modified":"2020-09-16T19:18:22","modified_gmt":"2020-09-16T19:18:22","slug":"students-confused-over-new-gym-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.lvc.edu\/lavie\/2020\/09\/16\/students-confused-over-new-gym-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"Students confused over new gym guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dslc-theme-content\"><div id=\"dslc-theme-content-inner\">\n<p>By: Mike Berkowitz \u201921, Staff Writer<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As students adjust to COVID-19 life\non campus, one aspect of campus life has been incredibly confusing for some\nstudents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arnold Sports Center\u2019s adjustment to keeping students safely social distanced has been met with questions and few answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The changes made include spacing out gym equipment by creating a new wing on the basketball courts adjacent to the main gym area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hours have also drastically changed, and student have to sign up for times to use the main gym area.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new hours are 7 a.m. &#8211; 9:30 p.m. but with sign up times only available from 7 p.m. to close.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe sign-up system is confusing and unintuitive,\u201d Ben White, a senior digital communications major, said. \u201cEven when I get a gym time the hours are either way too early or too late at night.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can sign up for workout time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lvc.edu\/life-at-lvc\/fitness-recreation\/lvc-sports-center\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>By: Mike Berkowitz \u201921, Staff Writer As students adjust to COVID-19 life on campus, one aspect of campus life has been incredibly confusing for some students.
