Expecting to take over the family-owned business as a third-generation, Greg Glembocki, graduated LVC in 1997 with his Business Administration degree. Although, his passion took his career on a different path.<\/p>\n

Glembocki realized after running the family business for a few years that his heart just was not there. In 2007, he became a sales executive at FedEx Services. Then in 2019, he was promoted to Worldwide Account Manager. He is the primary contact for a select few accounts that he manages for FedEx. His responsibilities include managing projects, experiences, sales, and retention with FedEx. In addition to working at FedEx Services, Glembocki is Albright\u2019s men\u2019s assistant soccer coach.<\/p>\n

According to Glembocki, LVC prepared him in a couple of ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst, obviously the building blocks of understanding business from an educational standpoint,\u201d Glembocki said. \u201cAnd secondly, understanding the needs of different people. There was a strong diversity at LVC, and it mimics today\u2019s business world as well\u2014where everyone is different but basically has the same core needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

When looking back at his collegiate career, Glembocki believes LVC fully prepared him and he was ready for the real world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the one big thing that I could always emphasize is networking,\u201d\u00a0 Glembocki said. \u201cGet to know LVC alumni, what they\u2019re doing, and what made them choose their industries.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glembocki\u2019s advice he gave for the Class of 2021 was relish your time in school.<\/p>\n

“Soak up as much information as you can. Enjoy your four, five, or six years,” he said. “Be a sponge and be curious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Admittingly, he didn\u2019t appreciate the caliber and quality of LVC as much as he should have. He didn\u2019t realize the reputation of LVC until he was well out into his career. Glembocki\u2019s final advice was to get involved in extracurricular activities because they want to learn what you\u2019re passionate about outside the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n
