While some fall sports are slowly winding down, others are looking at playoffs.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s volleyball team finished its regular season play with a 16-15 overall record and a 4-4 MAC Commonwealth record. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe win as a team and lose as a team,\u201d Amanda Sides, a senior captain, said. \u201cOur record doesn\u2019t reflect how hard we all have worked this season and how well we all get along.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the regular season, the team finished fifth in the MAC Commonwealth.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s volleyball team will travel to Williamsport, PA to play No. 4 Lycoming on Nov. 4. The match will determine which team will compete in the MAC Commonwealth tournament.<\/p>\n

In a similar position is the men\u2019s soccer team. Finishing the regular season with a 4-3-1 MAC Commonwealth record, the team is seeded fifth in the conference.<\/p>\n

After beating Widener in a thrilling game this weekend, the team is now preparing for playoffs.<\/p>\n

The field hockey team is also in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs as it clinched a tournament berth back on Oct. 23. Shortly after, the team also clinched the second seed. <\/p>\n

The field hockey team has had quite the impressive season so far. It finished its regular season with an 11-6 overall record and a 6-1 record in the MAC Commonwealth.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ve been so successful because our team learned how to work together as one unit,\u201d Faith Dinger, a senior midfielder and captain, said.<\/p>\n

The field hockey team is set to play No. 3 Widener at Arnold Field on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. The Dutchmen previously defeated Widener 1-0 during homecoming weekend. The winner of this game will advance to the MAC Commonwealth championship game.<\/p>\n

The women\u2019s cross-country team placed second out of seventeen teams at the MAC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 2, while the men\u2019s team placed fourth.<\/p>\n

On the women\u2019s side, Junior Keri Jones was named Runner of the Year and graduate student Julia Brewer was tabbed Rookie of the Year.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s soccer fell short this season, finishing 2-5-1 in the MAC Commonwealth and 5-10-1 overall.<\/p>\n

The team tied its final game of the season against Widener with a 1-1 double overtime score. <\/p>\n

The football team is still in action with two more conference games left this season. The team is currently 3-3 in the MAC.<\/p>\n

It will take on Lycoming College this Saturday, Nov. 9 at Arnold Field at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
