LVC\u2019s men\u2019s golf team will close out its fall season this Monday and the head coach has high expectations for his players.<\/p>\n

The team has progressed well throughout the fall with its best finish coming at the Muhlenberg College Fall Invitational with a team score of 327. The team has had a lot of different lineups for each of the previous matches, but the players are finding their game, continuing to learn and are working hard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe the team has done well this fall,\u201d Mike Swisher, head coach, said. \u201cWe have not had the team scores that we want, but we are rebuilding after losing so many players to graduation last year. The six guys that have joined the team this year have really worked hard and they have been a huge help.\u201d<\/p>\n

The team has one final match this Monday, Oct 21, at 12 p.m. when it hosts 17 teams at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational, which will be held at Lebanon Country Club. Swisher wants everyone to play in the home match so LVC will have two teams, the blue team and the white team. Swisher believes the team can defend its home course and have its best score yet of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt always great to host events,\u201d Swisher, said. \u201cThe course will be playing difficult but fair, and it is always in great condition. I think our biggest challenges will come from Penn State Berks, Stevenson, Eastern and Alvernia, but I think we definitely have a chance and I think our top three guys could be in the running for low individual.\u201d<\/p>\n

This will be a great event for the team, and all of the players will have the opportunity to get more competitive experience. Swisher expects the team to do well and wants his players to be ready to battle with the visiting teams. The players want their hard work to pay off and they want to finish the season strong in order to build confidence for the upcoming spring season.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
