Students can expect six panelists with varying belief systems to discuss the topic of \u201cEvil and Human Suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Sustained Interfaith Dialogue is primarily about normalizing difference,&#8221; Dr. Matthew Sayers, associate professor of religion and program director of religion and philosophy, said. &#8220;I hope that students who attend will learn a little about a different religious tradition or non-religious worldview from someone whose life is informed by that tradition.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>According to Sayers, this upcoming dialogue will hopefully model how those from different religions and worldviews essentially tackle the question, \u201cWhy do bad things happen to good people?\u201d Additionally, he hopes that the panelists will demonstrate to students that building beneficial relationships with those across religious lines is possible. <\/p>\n<p>The event will take place at 11 a.m. in the Miller Chapel Lobby. LVC students can sign up on Redbook.
